Peter Wright, farmer

| Date From | 1885 | Studio portrait of Peter Wright, farmer of Bruntwood Mains, Galston. He succeeded Robert Wright in 1885 and ran the farm from then until his death in 1912, aged 72. Peter was a keen member of the Kilmarnock Glenfield Ramblers. He also submitted several geological specimens to the museum of the Dick Institute, Kilmarnock. The portrait was taken by Kilmarnock photographers McGregor & Sons. A member of the Wright family - Robert Wright - still farms at Bruntwood Mains in 2005. |
