Date From

Mr Wylie at his workbench at Andrew Kay & Co. He is engaged in shaping the end of the hole, which had been drilled by a bit right through the stone. It was shaped so that the end of the bolt fitted snugly and did not move while the handle was being screwed on. [information supplied by D. B. Smith, author of Curling: An Illustrated History, 1981.]
