| Date From | 1911 | General view of Girvan Harbour with fish laid out on the quayside and barrels being prepared. The photo includes the clock tower known as Auld Stumpy. Beside the tower is a brick building called McMasters Hall which opened on 17 August 1911. The building was capable of housing 700 people in multiple rooms, halls and police courts, etc. The complex was destroyed by fire in 1939 and remained derelict until it was demolished in 1956. |
